We have come to the end of snapper season and let me assure you it was a good one! We had a lot of great catches with a lot of great clients over the last 30 days. We caught most of our snapper on cut mackerel and live cigar minnows on carolina rigs. One key to our success was the length of our leaders. Using a long leader will help when the fish are skiddish. We also caught quite a few king mackerel as well as bonita on the surface action. We also caught quite a few vermilion snapper as well which will be our main target for bottom fishing in the coming weeks. Amberjack and triggerfish will hopefully reopen in August and we are excited for that as well! Be sure to keep up with us and give us a shout if you have any questions!
